Salt Therapy can dramatically enhance sports performance by improving lung function and increasing lung capacity and stamina.

At the Wellness Studio, we understand that when you are an athlete, every advantage counts. The primary goal of every athlete is to achieve their maximum potential. One of the most important factors in attaining this is improving your breathing patterns.

Poor breathing patterns will:

  • Limit oxygen exchange
  • Reduce stamina and performance
  • Increase the production of lactic acid and subsequently leave you with residual muscle soreness
  • Increase dehydration
  • Increase the occurrence of cramps
  • Greatly lengthen recovery time
  • Elevate the heart rate
  • Increase anxiety
  • Decrease concentration
  • Increase the likelihood of injury in training and competition
  • Decrease energy levels
  • Contribute to poor sleep patterns

Athletes find that once they have corrected their breathing pattern, they can perform at an optimal level. There are also several known respiratory conditions and pulmonary limitations that affect athletes. These include air flow obstruction, which leads to a reduction in performance; increased bronchial responsiveness; exposure to airborne allergens and other unwanted inhaled particles; and respiratory illnesses and conditions such as asthma, allergies and airway inflammation.

Relax in our Salt Rooms and breathe purified air, enriched with microscopic salt particles. The dry saline aerosol in the Salt Room eliminates airborne particles from the airways and helps the body purge itself of harmful toxins.
